Pink Elephants on Parade!

hey EverYone, Have u met HENRY?

He is my beloved contribution to Elephant Parade Singapore.. I brought back a fav reoccurring theme from my old drawings, Elephants Never Forget. So i was really stoked to work on an ellie. =)

Enving the memory of elephants as compared to my own, I imagine the animal's mindfulness to be made up of volumes of colors, applied layer upon layer.

Henry was chilling at Kids world at the Singapore Zoo with some real ellies, Lions, Tigers & Bears oh MY! - before meeting up with the rest of his elephant parade homies at the Botanical Gardens, Eco Lake.

This 3m x 2m piece was exhibited at the dbl O Art Space from 26th Octoberto 18th November 2011 (Closing party by invite only).

The exhibition also featured the works of established solo designers andcollectives such as Kult3D, Creative Toolbox, kittozutto, Mojoko+SHANG, Clara Yee, Dju-Lian Chng, Foo Jia Wen and Tara Thadani.

In a massive show of Singaporean creativity, 9 Fountains has collaborated with Kult, Sifr and Blackmarket 2 to create a line of limited edition, super-premium graphic t-shirts. The K/9/S collection consists of fifteen Singapore-based designs handpicked from the range of international artwork in Kult Magazine’s “Animals” issue. The issue--and resulting t-shirt collection--is full of facts about animals, visualized by some of the most exciting artists working in the world today.

The Kult artwork is intended to "create a stronger bond between man and animal by increasing understanding" while the selections shine a spotlight on the thriving but oftentimes subterranean local art community in Singapore.

The garments themselves come from Sifr’s exquisite Essentials line which combines premium pima cotton, superior hand feel and sturdy construction in a contemporary fit. 9 Fountains, the event organiser, printed the t-shirts using its revolutionary direct-to-garment printing technology, which produces highly-detailed and vivid prints.

With a limited run of only 40 per design, every t-shirt is a true collector’s item and features hand-written edition numbers and packaging conveying information about the particular artwork and artist.

This collaborative effort will launch at Blackmarket 2 on October 6th with an exclusive meet-the-artists event where a K/9/S t-shirt installation will take centre-stage. A special pre-order sale will take place on-line at 9fountains.com from September 15th-30th where consumers can reserve the t-shirt of their choosing at a discounted price, with the first 50 customers receiving a special invitation to the launch event.

The t-shirts will retail exclusively at Blackmarket 2 on the 2nd floor of Orchard Central from October 1st-31st for $79 each.

also, its been a while since ive drawn in ink, so ive decided to practise.

KittyWu Records presents LYMBYC SYSTYM and CAROLINE for a one night only performance at HOME CLUB on Thursday, 28 July 2011. LYMBYC SYSTYM returns to Singapore for a second time on their 2011 Asia Summer tour, the Bell brothers bringing with them their brand of percussion driven, highly emotive, instrumental rock. Okinawan-American songtress, CAROLINE, returns to Singapore with her angelic, minimalist, electronic pop. This is her second time in Singapore since her last performance here in 2007 at the Esplanade Recital Studio. CAROLINE will be joined on stage with her sister, Olivia Lufkin - famed for singing for the popular anime series Nana.

An amazing evening of soundscapes and angelic voices. A magical night for brothers and sisters.

these are some of my fav books, so it had even more satisfaction to working on it, and also to experiment with all these different styles. also the fact that a lot of singing and dancing late at night in the office alone, while weird ppl sang Sweet Child of Mine in pubs terribly out of tune nearby.
